Splendid.
Bugger! who keeps buying them? I was waiting till pay day to get some as well, never mind, I have four shells so will have to make them count if it comes to it, will rely on the mp40
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

As far as 1940's torches go, is this kind of thing suitable?
Most German players have one of these:

they take modern D cell batteries and need about 10 minutes with emery paper to clean up the contact points
Yes, that`ll do the job although its based on the U.S. type. German types looked like the pic below, there were some eastern bloc ones which were almost identical floating around which took modern batteries but I haven`t seen them online. I got my old one from my local surplus store for about a fiver, not sure if he has any left though, may pop up there tomorrow and have a look see.
Oh sweet. If he has one, could you grab one for me? It would be awesome
I recommend you get a copy of Deutsche Soldaten, by Agustin Saiz if you dont already have it. Lots of pictures for reference, and the torch recommended by Bedsnherts is very similar to some illustrated in the book.

No probs, wil let you know tomorrow.
Any ideas towards Saturday night entertainment? I know at Die Gloke you had that weird zombie board game and many a gun fix going on
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
I can happily bring some board games of that ilk along.
Other wise i'm happy for folk bring other stuff within reason.
Bear in mind unlike other events, we're having a firm curfew on the social as its about being there for a battle rather than getting hammered
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
yeah, no probs, I was just wondering as conversations can only go on for so long before they get boring or way too much
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
Heh, well don't talk to the same person all night!
I normaly don't but there is only so much I can add to a conversation, only been doing WW2 airsoft for 2 years

I hope I'm not going to be kept awake by the rattling of dice and the casting of spells, scraping of slide rules to work out hit points and the groans of failure as things are swept from boards....
